The Connectix UFO Midspan Fibre Slitter Tool is designed to strip the outer jacket and loose buffer tube, easing cable slitting during installation and providing easy access to optical fibres. Available in two sizes, the Small Slitter Tool is best suited for cables with a diameter of 1.2mm-3.3mm whereas the Large Slitter Tool is appropriate to use for external or armoured internal cables with a diameter of 2.9-6.8mm.

Operation Steps
  1. Remove the screws to open the slitter tool.
  2. Select the correct groove for your cable - grooves are marked with the recommended cable size.
  3. Place the cable in the chosen groove.
  4. Follow the arrow on the top of the tool which indicates the pulling direction, the line also indicates the blade location.
  5. Close the tool, make sure lock is engaged and pull to slit the cable.
